Our FIRST Music Video?

Alright, here's the scoop: For my french class our teacher showed us this contest by the french embassy or something and you have to design something based on the theme of "The Statue of liberty and the Environment." One of the mediums you can use to enter is to make a music video about the statue. It can be in English.

The Contest ppl wrote:
2. Create a song or video about the Statue—may be performed in French or English (entries may not exceed 5 minutes in length).

What do ya say? We may or may not do it, but it's a cool thing to consider. Prizes are great.

im soo up for this, bring a camera 2 picnic next weekend, and we boutta be stayin at the school a little later than usual, say were hanging out

for groups $500 is split (4 ways for us)
we have to send it in electronically (email the vid)
we may be lucky to even get an honorable mention

only thing is my friend who's actually in my french class wanted to do a rap with me...

it duznt matter if we win, it would b nice tho, but itll b fun anyways and it giv us some experience for futur work...lol iv seen alot of famous youtube ppl start out by making some music video for some contest and now there making official ones

Cool we gotta use humza's camera when it comes out cuz i'm stuck with this ugly Powershot SD 780. My video camera (polaroid) really sucks and is liek half-dead or something

i can use my ipod camera if thatll help.. for a pretest of the music video, or if humzas cam duznt come on time

lol well no offense but the powershot will do better than the iPod. (just sayin cuz ppl on youtube go ballistic if the video is crappy quality)

ipod 4g has good camera, its clear and everything

sure, but sound quality is inferior and they have to pack the sensor into a small case, resulting in compression and lag. The Powershot ain't as bad as I said; I just don't like filming with Point & shoots. SD 780 has 12 MP, 720p HD recording

Dude you actually made a nice choice. But if you used that kinda money you shoulda just gotten an SLR with video which is MUCH better quality and all. But since you didn't want interchangeable lenses, that was a great choice.
